Kourtaliotiko gorge is our best selling half day trip is available from early May until the end of October! This hidden gem has all the elements for an unforgettable experience on the island of Crete. The tour is suitable for families, couples or group of friends which they wish to explore something altenative by hiking and swim inside a magestic river during a hot and sunny summer day! A trully must for your holidays, guided by professional outdoor guide of our team!
Itinerary
– There are 2 options to reach the place. Either by s using your own car and meet us directly at the meeting point close to Preveli beach. Or we can arrange your transfer with extra cost.
The tour starts at 10.00am ( if its a private booking there is flexibility on that )
– Upon your arrival you will meet our local guide and take a short briefing about the hike.
– You will put on your neoprene suits and get a waterproof backpack to store inside the necessary. Small bottle of water , some snacks yur telephone etc.
– Our guide will provide rock helmets as also a hiking pole for each participant.After that you will be transferred closer to the starting point by a minivan!
– The first part includes an amazing view of the great waterfall! The flow never stops and the amount of water coming down from the mountains is simply amazing. A small and safe jump will cool you up as the place is perfect for some instagramik pictures!
– We continue down the river by splashing into natural pools and having fun next to the river’s shore. The plane trees around us create the perfect scenery – A place away from crowds – You will love it.
Around 14.30 pm we will reach an olive grove where is our exit point as also your car. Once you change your wet clothes we will have free time to taste some greek traditional food on a river side family tavern!
For the trek you will need only your
+ Swimming shorts or Bikini.
+ Hard sole sneakers or wetshoes preferred with long socks.Although you will hold with you dry clothes to change ,
+ Small bottle of water
+ Snacks
+ A small towel.
What's Included?
Transfer
We provide transfer from the meeting point and back to your car after the end of the tour. Exclusive transfer from your stay is also available upon request.
Lunch
Local tapas and shared dishes are included on a family tavern after the trek!
