Loutro- sfakia e4 coastal hike
Walk above Endless Blue
One of our favorites hikes is located to the south coast of the island at Sfakia municipality. The trail is following the sea level giving unique images to visitors. We are going to start above famous loutro village where we could have breakfast or a coffee. Reaching Loutro is our first goal by descending the old path. Later on you will enjoy the coastal hike alongside the sea swimming and walking all the time until we reach Glyka nera bay. The last part of the hike can be done either on foot or by a small boat giving you the sense of cruise!
Itinerary
Pick you up from your villa or your hotel in the morning at 7.00 am.
After 2 hours of driving we will reach Kabia village at the foot of the white mountains.20 minutes stop for breakfast or and we start walking!
After a short descend of 45 minutes we will arrive at idealic village of Loutro. There you will have time to swim or eat something before we continue our hike. Stop for 1.30 minutes.
We continue above sea level to reach one of the most exotic beaches of Creta. The path is clear and the view of blue sea amazing!
The last part of our hike is up to you to choose. If you are a expeienced hiker then you will love it!Otherwise we are able to rent a small taxi boat with extra cost to take us back at Sfakia village.
Leave from Sfakia approximately at 16.00 pm we need about 2 hours to reach Retymno city.
